The Modern Mediterranean Masterpiece, meticulously designed by Kukk Architecture and masterfully built by Knauf & Koenig Construction (KKG), is located in Port Royal, at the heart of Naples, Florida.
When we first connected with the customer for this lighting project, they already had a landscape lighting design completed by their landscape architect. However, they felt the design did not complement the property’s architecture and landscape. They were actively seeking a new landscape lighting designer, and thanks to word of mouth, Beacon was given the opportunity to impress them with a comprehensive lighting design.
Here at Beacon, we stress the importance of designing a custom lighting plan and do not fall prey to the one-size-fits-all approach. As a result, this individual estate features over 32 different landscape lighting fixtures, each offering distinct lighting effects.
During our initial on-site consultation at this 12,000+ sqft estate, it became clear that the customer had a vision for the desired lighting effect but was unsure how to achieve it. As with many of our consultations, we asked a series of thought-provoking questions about the customer’s lifestyle, how they use their home, their preferred architectural styles, and more to ensure we understood their needs.
Following the consultation, Beacon promptly developed a complete outdoor lighting design, including landscape lighting, architectural lighting, pathway lighting, dock and aquatic lighting, and the selection and installation of decorative copper lanterns expertly crafted by CopperSmith.
This client, like many others, desired tunability. Thus, all wall washes across the front of the home have adjustable Kelvin temperatures and lumen output (brightness).
