Vanderbilt beach landscape lighting project

The Vanderbilt Beach House is a beach cottage-style home on the Intracoastal. This home had an old outdated landscape lighting system and as the palms and shrubs matured over the years, many of the lighting fixtures became hidden in the landscape and lacked the lumen output to properly illuminate the larger palms. We remedied the weak lighting design by highlighting the mature palms and trees from various angles, allowing us to achieve a cross-lighting effect. The homeowner expressed interest in holiday and theme lighting, so we used color-changing lamps to illuminate the rear’s palms allowing for seasonal color adjustments. Also, lighting around the dock was a must for safety, so post-down lighting was installed to help illuminate foot traffic areas.
