Parkshore Paradise
Outdoor lighting project in Naples, Florida
Parkshore Paradise was an outdoor lighting project we brought to life for one of our Naples builders’ personal residences. This project, designed by JDMG, presented another opportunity for us to showcase our expertise in lighting design.
Despite being smaller in square footage compared to our average projects, the homeowner expressed a passion for lighting and desired comprehensive and tasteful illumination throughout the property.
We began by highlighting the front architecture of the house using wall washes. These fixtures cast an even and dramatic illumination across the facade, with the flexibility to adjust lumen output, beam spread, and Kelvin temperature. This allowed us to fine-tune the lighting effect precisely. Additionally, to accentuate the entry columns, we installed recessed uplights that directed light upward, guiding visitors’ eyes toward the home’s entrance.
A subtle yet impactful lighting effect we employed was illuminating the false gables of the architecture. This not only visually increased the perceived height of the home in the evening but also added dramatic flair to this distinctive architectural feature.
Moving to the landscape, we illuminated mature Sylvester and Canary Palms from multiple angles, ensuring complete canopy illumination.
As you move towards the rear of the property, a modern-style path light illuminates the walkway, making a subtle yet striking statement of modernism for the home.
In the rear, where Coconut Palms, screw pines, and other exotic plants are showcased, we highlighted each from the main viewing angles of the home, outdoor living space, and pool area.
To complete the installation, the homeowner requested subtle lighting for the outdoor shower. We installed a downlight controlled on its own circuit, giving the homeowner complete control to dim or turn off this light independently from the rest of the system.
