Pelican Bay Condominium

The Sanctuary at Pelican Bay, a beautiful condominium in the heart of Naples, Florida, hired Beacon Outdoor Lighting to redesign their entire landscape lighting system after the recent damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

The community’s primary request was for “adequate” illumination across the entry and exit points to increase safety and security for their residents. They also mentioned that if we could “beautify” the entry while doing so, it would be a bonus.

To start the outdoor lighting design, we illuminated all canopy trees from a minimum of three angles. This created a dramatic effect as you entered the community, while also providing ambient light that reflected off the trees and onto the surrounding hardscape.

Next, we illuminated midstory trees and dwarf palms throughout the front of the community to add additional drama to the landscape and cast more reflective light onto the surrounding area.

To complete the lighting design, we worked with the community board to select path lights that created even illumination across the entrance of the community, ensuring smooth navigation in and out of the property during evening hours.
