Outdoor lighting project In the Gulf Shore Community
The GulfShore Getaway, located in the Gulf Shore Community of Naples, was a project we were brought into by Earthcare, the customer’s landscape contractor.
The owners of this beautiful transitional-style home had recently undergone extensive renovations inside and outside the property. They felt that the old landscape lighting design did not complement the modern architectural style of the home and gave us full rein to illuminate the space with outdoor lighting.
The first element we highlighted on this beautiful home was the front architecture. Since the home sports a clean white stucco finish, it was extremely easy to illuminate this space using only ten uplights.
After the home was well-illuminated, we moved on to the mature palms and canopy trees throughout the landscape. Because many of the palms are visible from both the home and the outdoor living spaces, we illuminated them from multiple angles so that no matter where you are on the property, you can enjoy an optimal illumination.
This beautiful home also had many unique features, including statues, aquatic features, and yard art. Seeing these items strategically placed throughout the property, it was clear they needed to be illuminated to tie the entire landscape lighting project together.
One of our favorite elements to illuminate on this project was the majestic Tabebuia tree that had survived not just one but two hurricanes, giving it a unique tree architecture that was begging to be highlighted. Instead of just using uplighting, we installed brass pendants within the tree’s foliage to draw one’s eyes deep into the tree and enjoy its natural and unique beauty.
