Entry-Level Landscape Lighting Laborer

Position Overview: As an Entry-Level Landscape Lighting Laborer, your primary role will be to assist with the physical tasks involved in installing and maintaining outdoor lighting systems. This position requires hard work and a willingness to learn on the job, with less emphasis on technical skills and more focus on manual labor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the physical installation of landscape lighting, including digging trenches, placing fixtures, and running wiring.
  • Help set up and move equipment and materials at job sites.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs.
  • Aid in troubleshooting by following directions from more experienced technicians.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including vehicles, tools, and work sites.
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring all equipment is ready for daily tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Strong physical ability to perform labor-intensive tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, digging, and working on ladders.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • No prior experience in landscape lighting required, though general labor experience is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Work is primarily outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Some tasks may require working early mornings, evenings, or weekends, depending on project schedules.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment is helpful but not necessary.
  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Compensation:

  • Hourly wage starting at $15 to $20, depending on experience.
